As a General Staff member at Ballerz, you will help deliver outstanding experiences for children, families, and guests of all ages across our café, bar, party, and activity areas. This role blends great hospitality with the excitement of a football-inspired venue, with a particular focus on kids’ parties and family visits. You will support front-of-house, café, and bar operations while helping create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where every guest feels looked after and excited to return.
Responsibilities:
- Greet children, parents, families, and guests warmly, answering questions about Ballerz experiences, kids’ party packages, menus, bookings, and activities.
- Support and help host kids’ birthday parties, ensuring children feel included, excited, and safe while parents feel informed and relaxed.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate clearly with café and bar teams, especially during busy party sessions.
- Prepare and serve drinks including coffees, soft drinks and Ballerz signature beverages, maintaining quality and consistency at all times.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, approachable manner, offering recommendations and helping maintain a fun, energetic atmosphere throughout the venue.
- Support football-themed and social gaming experiences, helping guests understand activities and keeping energy levels high.
- Handle orders and payment transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with food service during parties and general service, including delivering food, clearing tables, and resetting areas between sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across café areas, bar stations, party rooms, seating zones, and activity spaces, including restocking and table clearing.
Support the bar team through restocking, glassware cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe, and functional bar environment.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures, with particular care around children’s areas and food handling.
- Work closely with the wider Ballerz team to ensure parties, events, and daily service run smoothly and on time.
- Monitor food, drink, and service standards to ensure they consistently meet Ballerz quality expectations.
- Ensure all front- and back-of-house areas are correctly set up for shift success and closed down according to Ballerz steps of service.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, anticipating guest and parent needs and stepping in proactively to support the team.
- Regularly check all areas of the venue to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service levels meet Ballerz standards.
